DNK Privacy Policy
This privacy policy (hereinafter, "this Policy") sets forth the handling of Personal Information of the users (hereinafter, "Users") of Data Manager and the DNK for Excel (collectively, "the Service"; and, where distinguished individually, “Data Manager” and “the Add-in”) provided by DNK Japan K.K. (hereinafter, "the Company"), obtained in connection with the Service.
The Company, in cooperation with the DNK Group, places great importance on the protection of Users’ Personal Information and makes its best efforts to protect Users’ rights by complying with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (hereinafter, the "APPI") and other relevant laws and regulations in order to protect Users’ Personal Information.
Based on the foregoing, the Company hereby establishes and publishes this Policy in order to inform Users of the procedures and standards concerning the handling of Personal Information, and to enable the Company to process related complaints promptly and smoothly. Unless otherwise defined herein, terms used in this Policy shall have the meanings ascribed to them under the APPI. In addition, the "DNK Group" collectively refers to DN Korea Co., Ltd., the Company’s parent company (hereinafter, "DN Korea"), and its subsidiaries (including the Company).
1. Items of Personal Information Collected
The Company obtains information from Users or their affiliated companies as follows:
Information required to create an Account, such as name, email address, telephone number, and company name
Information regarding features and services of interest, the content and history of inquiries, and other information voluntarily provided to the Company
In addition, the Company may collect the following information in the course of a User’s use of the Service:
Records of Service usage
IP address, cookie ID, advertising identifier, and other Online Identifiers
OS information, language settings, and other device information
2. Use of Personal Information
The Company uses Personal Information for the following purposes. In the event the Company changes the Purpose of Utilization, the Company will take the measures required under the APPI in accordance with the nature of the change, such as obtaining consent or announcing the changed Purpose of Utilization.
For the operation and provision of the Service (including the following):
Creation and management of Accounts
Provision of customized services
For the provision of marketing and event information
For the development and improvement of the Service and other services and products of the DNK Group
3. Entrustment of Personal Information Processing
The Company may entrust the handling of Personal Information to a third party for the smooth processing of its operations.
Upon entering into an entrustment agreement, the Company, pursuant to Article 25 of the APPI, clearly sets forth in a contract or other document matters such as the prohibition of handling Personal Information for purposes other than the performance of the entrusted operations, organizational, personnel-related, physical and technical Safety Control Actions, restrictions on Sub-entrustment, supervision and control of the trustee, and liability for damages, and supervises whether the trustee handles Personal Information safely.
4. Cross-Border Transfer
The Company may provide Personal Information in connection with entrusting operations relating to the provision of the Service and data analysis to a foreign corporation.

The trustee generally takes measures at a level equivalent to those required of a Business Operator Handling Personal Information in Japan with respect to the handling of Personal Information.

5. Your Rights and Procedures for Request to Exercise the Rights
A User, as the principal, may exercise the right to request the Company to disclose Personal Information, correct, add to, or delete such information, cease utilization or Provision to a Third Party, or disclose the Record of Provision to a Third Party (hereinafter, collectively, “Disclosure, etc.”) with respect to the Retained Personal Data held by the Company.
A request for Disclosure, etc. may be made to the Company by postal mail, email, or facsimile, and the Company will respond promptly. For procedures, please contact the “10. Contact” section below.
Upon receiving a request for Disclosure, etc., the Company will confirm that the person making the request is the principal or a legitimate representative, including by requesting the presentation of identification documents and a power of attorney.
The Company will respond to a request for Disclosure, etc. to the extent permitted under the APPI.
6. Measures to Ensure the Security of Personal Information
In handling Users’ Personal Information, the Company takes necessary and appropriate measures to prevent Leakage, Loss, or Damage of Personal Information. For inquiries regarding the Safety Control Actions taken by the Company, please contact the “10. Contact” section below.
7. Handling of Cookies
In order to provide Users with individually customized services, the Company uses “cookies,” which store and, from time to time, retrieve usage information.
A cookie is a small amount of information sent to a User’s computer browser by the server (http) used to operate a website, and may be stored on the hard disk of the User’s PC.
Purpose of using cookies: cookies are used to retain various settings when a User revisits a website, to understand the manner of a User’s visits to and use of each service and website visited, popular search terms, and the presence or absence of a secure connection, and to provide Users with personalized services.
Setting, operation, and refusal of cookies: Users may refuse or restrict the storage and use of cookies by the Company and third parties through the settings of the browser they use. As cookie settings differ depending on the browser used, please check and apply the setting method for the browser you use. If a User refuses to allow the storage of cookies, the User may experience difficulty in using personalized services.
In order to analyze Users’ use of Data Manager and provide better services, the Company uses the following Web Analytics Services. The processing of information collected by each service is governed by that service’s own policy, and Users may refuse automatic collection by using the browser’s tracking-prevention function or cookie-refusal function, or by the method provided by the relevant service.

8. Provisions Specific to the DNK for Excel
This Section applies to Users of the DNK for Excel (hereinafter, "the Add-in"), a Microsoft 365 add-in that operates inside the Microsoft Excel application.
The Add-in retrieves the Company's data through authenticated API requests and displays such data within the Add-in's task panel. Users transfer values into their workbook themselves via copy and paste. No workbook contents are transmitted to the Company's servers or stored, retained, or used by the Company for any purpose.
Users authenticate to the Add-in using a DNK account (email address and password) established with the Company.
In connection with the Add-in, the Company collects: DNK account credentials (email address, encrypted password) for authentication purposes.
Users may contact the Company and submit feedback regarding their use of the Add-in through the Company's Help Center. Such feedback may include descriptions of how the User uses the Add-in, feature requests, bug reports, and any other information the User voluntarily provides. Information submitted through the Help Center is used by the Company to respond to inquiries and to improve the Service, in accordance with the purposes set forth in Section 2 of this Policy. Users are advised not to include sensitive Personal Information in Help Center submissions unless necessary.
The Add-in operates within Microsoft's Microsoft 365 environment. Microsoft Corporation may independently collect diagnostic information relating to add-in usage in accordance with the Microsoft Services Agreement and Microsoft Privacy Statement. The Company has no access to and no control over Microsoft's independent data collection.

The Company bears overall responsibility for operations relating to the handling of Personal Information, and has designated the following Personal Information Protection Officer for the handling of Personal Information and the processing of related complaints and remediation of damage:

Users may direct to the Personal Information Protection Officer any inquiries, complaints, or requests for remediation of damage relating to the protection of Personal Information in connection with the use of the services of the Company and DN Korea. The Company will respond promptly to Users’ inquiries.
The Personal Information Management Officer, as the person responsible for protecting Users’ Personal Information and preventing its Leakage, supports Users so that they may use the Company’s services with peace of mind.
10. Amendment of the Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy shall apply from July 21, 2026.
This Privacy Policy may be added to, deleted from, or amended due to changes in relevant laws, regulations, or guidelines, or as necessary for the Company. In such case, the Company will give prior notice at least seven (7) days in advance through its website or by email, or, where prior notice is difficult, will give notice promptly. Unless otherwise notified, the amendment will take effect upon the expiration of seven (7) days. Where a material change is made, the Company will give notice at least thirty (30) days in advance, and, unless otherwise notified, the amendment will take effect upon the expiration of thirty (30) days. In addition, the Company may obtain a User’s separate consent where required under relevant laws and regulations.
